Happy New Year! Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2023!
I was blessed this Christmas holiday season because family and friends surrounded me as we enjoyed many memorable events, shared laughter, and some terrific meals. I know I am fortunate, and I want you to know I am thankful to so many in our industry who make these moments possible for me. Our clients, staff, business partners, and so many others make our companies successful. Again thank you!
The hard work we put into our businesses or careers can make holiday celebrations much more filling as we take a break from the hustle and bustle to enjoy the fruits of our labors. Our businesses, Buckeye Dealership Consulting, Dealer Performance Groups, and Truck Master Warranty are most successful when we helping our clients achieve goals that allow them to sow the seeds of success. Ultimately, those are the results by which we are constantly evaluated.
Yet, we all know monetary wealth doesn’t necessarily equate to happiness. We all define it differently, but if our team members can assist in some way in helping our clients be happy, we’re doing our jobs. Keeping them happy requires ongoing efforts.
During my professional career I have been fortunate to become associated with people that share my values and goals. When you find them, holding on to those relationships is essential. Our great country has few industries where personal and professional relationships are so crucial to success. The automobile retail industry may be large, but when we attend conferences, industry events, or pop into individual dealerships, I see my friends and confidants. First and nicknames are the rule. I like that.
As we turn the calendar on a new year, I look forward to rekindling those relationships when and where we can. And if I can’t be there, rest assured my team will be.
Although we may have some challenges to face in 2023, there will also be opportunities and many chances to enjoy the ride and ultimately be happy. Again, Happy New Year! May it be filled with many happy memories!
