BOARDMAN, Ohio (April 5, 2021) — Buckeye Dealership Consulting, a leading provider of re-insurable products for automotive retailers, has announced that Peter Salinas will provide communications services to the company.
Salinas, a used vehicle journalist and automotive communications specialist for more than three decades, will provide his services to Buckeye beginning April 1, 2021. The former managing editor for Used Car News and Dealer Business Journal will combine his wealth of experience in automotive journalism, marketing, and social media communications to amplify Buckeye’s value to its client portfolio.
“Peter is well-known with dealers across the country who’ve followed his reporting and industry advocacy in various national and state dealer publications,” said Buckeye CEO Robert Fox, Sr. “We’re excited to have a respected automotive journalist and communications specialist assist us with our communications efforts.”
An industry veteran who began covering the new and used automotive industry in 1986, Salinas has documented the tremendous changes, challenges, and successes experienced by the people who comprise our industry. Recently, Salinas has continued to use his skills by providing services to state IADA dealer associations as well as industry vendors.
“In looking over Buckeye’s client list, it was like a homecoming,” Salinas said. “I’ve interviewed and written about many of these clients over the years, and many are my friends. In addition, I’ve worked closely with Shaun Petersen, Buckeye Executive Vice President, during his years of service with NIADA. This new relationship is very familiar and comfortable.”
