Today, June 29th 2020 the Supreme Court ruled that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau “CFPB” had too broad of powers. The President now has the ability to fire the CFPB Director, a position that was largely protected prior to the ruling which some argue gave the CFPB unchecked authority.
