Buckeye Dealership Consulting “Buckeye”, a leading provider of re-insurable
products for automobile dealers, today announced that Shaun Petersen has been named
Executive Vice President of the company effective November 9, 2020.   He will also serve as
Chief Legal Officer.

“Shaun is uniquely positioned to help Buckeye serve its major constituencies including retail
and buy here pay here independent dealers, automotive finance companies, commercial
trucking, state and national trade associations, and our other industry partnerships,” said CEO
Robert Fox, Sr.  “His many years of strategic, policy and legal experience will keep us connected
with our core customers and pursue new opportunities for growth. I am excited to welcome
Shaun to the Buckeye team.”

Petersen brings nearly 20 years of automobile industry experience to the position, including
most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Legal & Government Affairs for the National
Independent Automobile Dealers Association.  In that role, he was responsible for building
much of NIADA’s public policy and government affairs programs, including its political outreach.

Petersen has a proven and diverse background in the used motor vehicle industry. Prior to his
tenure at NIADA, Shaun was a founding partner in a boutique law firm representing a wide
range of clients in the used car industry including dealers, finance companies, auctions and
service providers. He also served as a Senior Deputy Attorney General and Chief of the
Consumer Protection Section in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
